Wedding planning on your devices

From the guest list to the venue door.

Import the spreadsheet, arrange the tables, and check guests in without relying on venue Wi-Fi. Event data stays on your iPhone or iPad unless you choose to share it.

One guest list, from planning to the door.

Update the event once. RSVP, seating, venue operations, and check-in all use the same local data.

01

Preview the guest list

Auto-match spreadsheet columns, remap unusual headers, and review new, updated, and skipped counts before importing.

02

Build and compare seating

Keep hard rules first, drag groups between tables, save named drafts, and compare alternatives before restoring one.

03

Sketch the venue

Import a venue-provided PDF or image, calibrate scale in feet or meters, and place measured tables, stages, dance floors, and restricted zones.

04

Run venue operations

Check in households in arrival waves, send encrypted nearby packets to door devices, merge returned check-ins, then back up or close out the event.

Your spreadsheet, mapped before import.

Bring the CSV you already use. Wendus auto-matches familiar headers, lets you remap the rest, and shows exactly how many guests will be added, updated, or skipped before you confirm.

  • Map renamed columns such as Name, Family, Phone, or Meal.
  • Review a live dry run without changing the event.
  • Re-import updates without duplicating guests who share a family email.
  • Prefix formula-like cells so spreadsheets treat them as text.

Use the map the venue sends.

Import a venue-provided PDF or image, calibrate it to real units, and turn the room itself into useful planning context.

  • Use PDF or image floor plans from Files.
  • Calibrate map scale in feet or meters.
  • Place measured tables, entrances, stages, dance floors, and restricted areas.
  • Turn tables inside restricted sketch zones into hard cannot-sit rules.

Save one seating plan before you try another.

Wendus generates a group-to-table draft from explicit rules, lists the issues it recognizes, and lets you move or lock groups manually.

  • Refine the generated plan to reduce conflicts without trading away hard rules.
  • Drag assigned or unseated groups onto a table, then unlock them when plans change.
  • Save up to ten named drafts with their manual locks.
  • Compare table changes and hard or soft issue counts before restoring a draft.

One family pass, even when the family arrives in waves.

Each scan checks in one attending guest from the household. The same pass keeps working for later arrivals until everyone covered by it has checked in.

  • Scan opaque QR tokens that contain no guest details.
  • Revoke a lost or leaked pass and issue a fresh token.
  • Send an encrypted, check-in-focused packet to nearby staff devices.
  • Merge check-ins mid-event and again at closing without duplicating records.

Move the event with one encrypted file.

Create one passphrase-protected Wendus backup containing the event and its imported venue map. Restore it on another iPhone or iPad running Wendus when you change devices or hand the plan to someone you trust.

  • The backup is encrypted with the passphrase you choose.
  • Local encrypted archives can be restored or deleted later.
  • The backup includes the imported venue map.
  • Wendus cannot recover the passphrase. Store it somewhere safe.

Before you download

Does Wendus require an account?

No. You can open Wendus and start without sign-in.

Does a QR code contain guest details?

No. QR passes use opaque tokens.

Can I still use spreadsheets?

Yes. Export your spreadsheet as CSV, map its columns, and review new, updated, and skipped counts before importing. Wendus can also create a master guest CSV for spreadsheet editing.

Can I compare different seating plans?

Yes. Save named drafts, compare each group's table and the hard or soft issue counts against the current plan, then restore the version you want. You can also drag groups between tables directly.

Can I move my event to another device?

Yes. Create a passphrase-protected Wendus backup containing the whole event and imported venue map, then restore it on another iPhone or iPad running Wendus. Keep the passphrase safe because it cannot be recovered.

What if a household arrives at different times?

Each household-pass scan admits the next unchecked attending guest. The pass becomes a duplicate only after its available admissions are used.

Can Wendus use a venue floor plan?

Yes. With premium access, Wendus can import a venue-provided PDF or image, use it as a rough sketch guide, calibrate the map scale, and place measured tables and zones.

Does seating require a venue map?

No. Seating works from guests, tables, relationship preferences, and table rules. If a table falls inside a restricted sketch zone, Wendus creates a hard cannot-sit rule for that table.

Does the 3-day trial automatically charge?

No. The local 3-day premium planning trial requires no payment and does not automatically charge.

Is Wendus a wedding website or registry?

No. Wendus is for guest lists, RSVP, venue maps, seating, QR check-in, venue handoff, vendor exports, and closeout.

No Wendus account and no payment method required.
